Well done to Kevin Bell who has passed his Advanced Driving Test. Kevin's Examiner was Richard Mansfield and his Observer was Mike Duffin.

Following the recent decision by our Chairman Tony Higgs to step down and resign due to health reasons I am pleased to announce the appointment of David Mesquita-Morris as acting chairman with immediate effect. David joins us from another group where he had held the roles of Chief Observer and Vice Chairman.

Kate Tonge, Marketing Communications & Membership Director of IAM Roadsmart attended the January Committee meeting and gave an interesting presentation to those present to bring us up to date on the marketing of IAM courses and Membership, this was followed by the normal CSAM Committee business.

Congratulations to Andy Fairweather who passed his advanced test with a F1rst. His Examiner was Andy Pike and his Observer was Jean Clark.

Congratulations to Andrew Peters who passed his advanced test with a F1rst. His Examiner was Tony Johnson and his Observer was David Milford.

Congratulations to Tricia Young who passed her advanced test with a F1rst. Her Examiner was Richard Mansfield and her Observer was Vince Clarkson.

Congratulations to Sophie Orlans who has passed her Advanced Test, Dennis Clement was her examiner and Alan Burt was her Observer.

Tony Higgs has tendered his resignation with immediate effect as Chairman of CSAM due to personal circumstances which were unknown at the time his re-election at this year’s AGM. Tom Stringer our Vice-Chairman has stepped up to cover the Chairman’s role with additional support from the rest of the committee. We all wish Tony well.

Peter attended the Committee Meeting on the 21st of November to receive his certificate from Tom Stringer, Vice-Chairman of CSAM. Peter passed his test with a F1rst, well done Peter.

David has transferred from the Guildford Group where he was Chief Observer, he is a National Observer, Local Observer Assessor and a Masters Mentor and will, with these qualifications and experience, be a great addition to our Observer team.
