Nick Lomas

Nick is Director General of the Caravan and Motorhome Club (formerly The Caravan Club) and has held that position since 2010. Prior to this he was the club’s Director of Marketing.

Nick is an elected board member of the UK Tourism Alliance, the representative body of the UK tourism industry. He is also a member of the FIA (International Automobile Federation) Region 1 management council guiding the mobility, advocacy and road safety work of the organisation.

After gaining a degree in Economics and Politics from the University of York, Nick’s career began in marketing with Aviva Insurance. In 1993 he joined the UK subsidiary of US health insurance company UnumProvident. Nick joined Liverpool Victoria (LV=) in 2000, working in a range of marketing and business development roles in insurance and banking.

Elizabeth Coyle-Camp MA, CIPR

Educated in Canada and the UK, Liz has worked extensively in the PR and media industry on both sides of the Atlantic. She is founder and managing director of E=MC2 Public Relations and a director and co-founder of publishing company Cathedral Communications and The Building Conservation Directory.

Prior to her PR career, she spent seven years in front-line TV and radio news and current affairs working with BBC Radio 4 in London and Standard Broadcasting and the CBC in Canada. Here she gained hands-on experience in programming, production, documentaries and presentation.

Liz has held previous posts as PR manager for the Automobile Association in London and the South East. Here she was involved with and acted as media spokeswoman on a wide range of motoring safety issues from vehicle maintenance and tyre checks to winter driving advice. During this time she spearheaded the AA’s Women on Wheels road safety campaign, a series of basic vehicle maintenance, breakdown and motoring safety workshops organised at local AA centres for lone women drivers.

Liz has worked extensively developing and implementing internal and external strategic communications programmes and policies for all types of organisations, from FTSE-100 companies to SMEs, non-profit and local government organisations. She also has specialist expertise in crisis communications, public speaking and media training.

Nick Stein

Nick is a former airline training captain with 35 years’ experience of flight safety and pilot training. He has been a member of IAM RoadSmart since 2011 and has held the positions of Group Chairman and Chief Observer. He  is currently active as a National Observer and Masters Mentor.

After university Nick joined the RAF as a pilot, flying C-130 Hercules on worldwide operations including famine relief in Ethiopia, duty in the Falklands and the Gulf and supporting UN peacekeeping. He did two tours as a Qualified Flying Instructor (A2) and when he became a commercial airline captain he continued as an instructor, training pilots on the BAe 146, Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.

Nick flew for easyJet for 17 years and in his career amassed over 18,000 flying hours. He recently retired from commercial flying and divides his time between IAM RoadSmart observing and running his business, Spitfire Books, which specialises in rare aviation publications and memorabilia.
