After 6 weeks post op not being allowed to drive, I was keen to get back out with team 5. The only ride posted was a full day out so I decided to put up a last minute shorter option on starting at the same location as the full day ride, on the off chance that others might like to join me. In the event six T5ers, including one poached from the longer ride, signed up.
So with Adam Meek filling the back marker role we set off towards Tadcaster then on to Cawood and Thorpe Willoughby to our t&p stop at Roo's tearooms just outside Burn airfield.
After drinks and a couple of slightly sub standard scones, we started our next leg. From here we headed for Old Goole then south through Swinfleet and on to Crowle before turning west eventually joining the Moss road to Askern and then on to our destination, Dainty Doris tearooms where we enjoyed good food including Doris's delicious rarebit (take note Mark Rogers).
Thanks to Adam M, Adam G, Adrian, Martin, Mike and Graham for your great company on the day.
