Brian Lydamore's Reservoirs Run...2/7/22
The Gleesome Threesome, myself, Tim and Andy headed out at 10am from Otley under a sky that said anything can happen any minute. The day went well and water played its part at ground level and from above.
We took in Lindley Wood, Swinsty, Fewston and Thruscross reservoirs wiggling our way to Pateley Bridge and alongside Gouthwaite reservoir to our 1st stop, How Stean Gorge. We gave the abseiling into the Gorge a miss and settling indoors with pots of tea (thanks Tim) while the heavens opened...
We ventured on when the rain stopped over the tops to Leighton reservoir. I strung the boys out with a trundle through the hamlet of Ellingstring 😁 . Picking up the 1st A road a short blast to Leyburn and Bellerby for lunch at Manor Farm cafe, my birthday treat (lucky only 3 of us)...🙂
Sat outside the weather was kind. Fully nourished we headed for Masham and our respective home runs. Thanks for your company guys, I really enjoyed. 👍
