Around 30 members of York Advanced Motorcyclists (YAM) attended BikerDown training at the police Lifewise training centre in Rotherham. This is a national initiative operated in partnership with the S.Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service and Yorkshire Ambulance Service to provide basic scene management and first aid skills to bikers and although only 2 hours long many of the skills could make the difference in the event if an accident. After the training around a dozen or so riders rode out to the Sandoft airfield cafe at Belton near Thorne and then dispersed for home.
