Skittles Event
SAM and Stratford IAM enjoyed a joint skittles match on Tuesday 5th September at the Navigation Inn, Wootton Wawen. This was arranged after a successful first event last year in Long Marston, which saw SAM emerge as the winner.
A total of 33 turned up: 21 from SAM and 12 from Stratford. For fairness Stratford were allowed to play most of their team twice each round. Two rounds were played initially, which resulted in a draw. Each team then selected a player for a single round play off, giving a win for Stratford. SAM's player for that round had to walk home!
All who attended enjoyed this evening, which gave an opportunity for two local IAM Groups to socialise.
A return match will be arranged for next year, probably in October. The Events Team will be happy to hear of any alternative venues for consideration, which should be conveniently placed between Solihull and Stratford.
