About us

The Skipton & Craven Group was formed in 1982 covering The Craven Area of Yorkshire with adjacent parts of the Aire, Wharfe, and Worth Valleys.

We are a friendly group, having a monthly meeting in Skipton town centre. Our location means that we we have access to urban and rural areas forming an excellent experience base. Our observers are fully qualified and enjoy their work and locality immensely. Visiting speakers cover a variety of mainly motoring related topics Occasional visits to transport based venues and an annual Treasure Hunt provide variety.

If you are undecided about signing up for the advanced driving course, we would be pleased to arrange a free taster session. One of our qualified National Observers will go out with you in your own car for an hour and give you an understanding about our course. Contact the group Secretary to arrange this.
