Our observers are all IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) qualified and reassessed every few years. They meet regularly and have an annual weekend training event. Some work for local bike training organisations too.
Since 1st September 8 associates have passed their test- 50% of these at F1RST level! F1RST membership is attained by taking the advanced test for motorcycle and achieving a score of 1 in every* category.
Our five top officials, all observers, have their Masters, two at distinction level. Masters- the highest standard of civilian driving or riding ability in the country. Our standards are high.
We are now supported by the South West Peninsula Road Safety Partnership and Cornwall county council which has enabled us to offer our courses at HALF price.
We are affiliated to IAM RoadSmart and they provide a huge resource including discounts, videos, regular newsletters, magazines, and bulletins.
In ‘normal’ times we have an active social side too, including, monthly and one evening per month ride outs, social events, tours in the UK and aboard, and weekends away. It’s a great way of making new friends and finding like-minded people to ride with.
