The data

Posted on 12/10/20 |

Research based on 17 years of data shows that out of 441 fatal accidents, 108 involved motorcyclists. What is concerning is that the motorcyclist was most blameworthy in 76 of those cases and partially to blame in another 11.  To sum up- In 81% of the accidents the motorcyclist was wholly or partially to blame for the accident. 95% of the blameworthy motorcyclists were local and knew the road. The average age of the blameworthy rider was 40.
It is time we all took responsibility to change this- hence sign up for an advanced rider course.

CAM are giving a 50% reduction on the cost of the course- that’s £75 back once you have completed the course with us. You need to sign up with the IAM at full cost first.

You can find all the research data, used and provided  by the South West Road safety partnership and Cornwall County Council on our website under the tab resources- then look in document library.
