Some members of CAM joined Naomi from radio Cornwall at 7.30am to talk about road and biker safety, the pleasures of riding, and of course CAM and what we do so well.
Venue was provided by Chapter 1 who opened early and access kindly enabled by Damerells, all at Indian Queens.
Naomi excelled with her easy engaging approach, including seeming a little focussed on leathers and getting us to rev our bikes noisily- all very childish but great fun. Bob spoke about statistics and the dangers of biking and how Cornwall biker accidents compared with national figures- not good (4th worst?!). Bob also talked about his life long biker experience. I spoke about being a late in life biker and initially not very good, so encouraged by Julie I joined up and got better too.
Derek, Jim, Greg, and Conrad, chatted easily about places they have been, opportunities for women (we are all the same and just bikers as far as we are concerned), blood bikes, the fun of the social side and more on leathers I seem to remember. I finished up by mentioning, as we should, IPSGA, OAP and the basis of the Road craft book.
A very enjoyable couple of hours.
