Summer last year took a while to arrive but when it did – it really did arrive in some style. Some dry weather is all that’s needed to pull in the numbers at Steve Brockbank’s OYB Open Days – add some Carl Fogarty and it’s standing room only.
We’ve reported here before how good OYB is as a ride destination – good parking, facilities for the consumption and dispensing of fluids (James’s burger van is top!) there’s plenty new and used metal to look at plus a great selection of riding kit to browse through.
AAM’s attendance on 28th July has been followed up with another on Sunday 11th August offering advice to all riders interested in taking up an IAM Skill for Life program and free ‘ride checks’ for those who would like a ‘taster’ to begin with.
AAM observer – Les Berry – is pictured exchanging some banter with ‘4 times World Superbike Champion’ Carl Fogarty and over the event no less than 10 prospective new associates registered their interest in taking up a ‘Skill for Life’ package.
Not a bad way to pass the time on a sunny summer Sunday afternoon.
