Dear Members, Associates and Friends

Another Covid-19 announcement I’m afraid.  In essence the contents will not come as a surprise.  However we are trying to be innovative in our continued support – so don’t bin this one right away please!

All:

• We’ll be cancelling all Group meetings for the foreseeable future – I’ll email when we are back on stream – and we’ll update the website www.iamroadsmart.com/groups/swindonam

• It is possible that we might set up a virtual Group meeting using Webex.  Let’s see how we can bend the technology to our advantage – it might take a little while to set up.

Associates:

• All observed drives are cancelled.  A number of our Observers are self-isolating anyway so you’ll be on your own in the car…

• We will contact you all individually to make sure you have this message.

• IAM RoadSmart have offered to “pause” your membership for up to 6 months, so you will not lose out financially by the delay.  We will ensure that is properly administered.

• We are going to set up some Webex seminars for those that want to indulge in some guided self-study.

Observers:

• Stand down from any observed drives.

Committee:

• All face to face meetings are cancelled.

• We are setting up a conference call and Webex facility – I know computers are not everyone’s cup of tea – so this may take a while to sort out.
