Start: Dobbies Garden Centre, Siemens Way, Enterprise Park, Swansea, West Glamorgan SA7 9FT, driving to Museum of Land Speed, Marsh Road, Pendine SA33 4NY

As part of a new plan for the group to have regular drive outs, the first has been arranged to visit the Museum of Land Speed in Pendine.

Meeting in the cafe of Dobbies Garden Centre in Swansea at 10.00 for a quick breakfast, then leaving there at 10.30AM for the 60 mile route from Swansea, towards Cross Hands and into rural Carmarthenshire via Llanarthney,  Abergwili, Cywyl Elfed, Trelech,  Meidrim, St Clears, Red Roses, and Pendine.

This drive should take around 2 hours, meaning we'll arrive at the museum at 12.30PM.  Admission is £7

Cars will keep together so no one should get lost, and once you confirm attendance a map route and Google Map route will be shared for your sat nav.

If you’d like an assessment of your driving by an Observer, or wish to discuss the different memberships of IAM RS (such as Fellow), or considering the Masters and want a better understanding of the driving standard required, then this will be an ideal opportunity to do so.   Similarly, if you’d prefer a lift and experience others driving then I’m sure that can be arranged too.

Following the visit  there'll be lunch (at around 1.30PM) in an as yet to be agreed local venue. before driving back to Swansea on a more direct route via Laugherne, St Clears and Cross Hands.  It should take around an hour to return to Swansea.

Please let me know via message if you plan to attend the day, whether you’ll be joining for breakfast (I’ve heard they’re good at Dobbies so I will be), and how you will be getting to the museum – particularly if you want an observed drive or a passenger ride
