Background in Driving
After a career in Military aviation and a long standing love of cars, Rod passed his Advanced Test in 2011 before joining the Gloucestershire Group on retirement to the Cotswolds. He became an Observer in 2012 and then Group Secretary before qualifying as a National Observer and Local Observer Assessor. Rod became the Group Chairman and Chief Observer in 2016 and took the Masters Test in 2018, passing with Distinction. He lives in Bourton on the Water.
Supporting Our Group
Rod is our Group Chairman on the Committee. Rod is involved in all aspects of running our group, including attending and running our stands at shows and events we attend. Rod is also a Local Observer Assessor, helping coach and qualify new Observers within the group. As a Masters Mentor Rod also coaches members for the Masters Test.
Outside Interests
Owned two early Aston Martins quite a few years ago, loves fast aeroplanes, cars and driving. Keen photographer. Has travelled quite a bit of the world. His other fascination in life is as a Freemason.
