Following discussions with the emergency services and Tesco Leyland, we are pleased to announce Alive to Drive 2023 will take place on 13th and 14th May 2023. We are also delighted that, following a hiatus during the first year of COVID and a single day event last year, with the support of our partners, we are able to hold the full two-day event again this year.
Conceived over ten years ago by CAM’s Julie W, supported by Lancashire’s emergency services and returning for the sixth successive year to the grounds of Tesco’s Leyland store, Alive to Drive aims to educate the public on driving and riding safely.
In previous years there’s been something for everyone, from fire engines for children to sit in, to the police sharing information on safer cycling to demonstrations of multi-casualty extractions from crashed vehicles for the adults. We have been thrilled to be joined by representatives of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Lancashire Constabulary, Lancashire Road Safety Partnership, National Highways, Army Reserves, North West Ambulance Service, South Lancashire Advanced Motorcyclists and Blood Bikes.
Watch this space for details on who will be joining us for the 2023 event.
